When You create a Whooden User Account, purchase a product, download materials, or contact us, we collect a variety of information, including Your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, and contact preferences. When payment, or payment information, is required, we will direct You to submit credit card information through a third-party.

You can help ensure that Your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by logging in to Your account. X. Children & Education.

We understand the importance of taking extra precautions to protect the privacy and safety of children using Whooden products and services. Children under the age of 18, are not permitted to create their own Whooden accounts instead, a parent must obtain the account and provide the parent’s information to Whooden. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 18 we will delete the information as soon as possible.

XI. Third Party Sites and Services.

Whooden websites, products, applications, and services may contain links to third-party websites, products, and services. Our products and services may also use or offer products or services from third parties. Information collected by third parties is governed by their privacy practices. We encourage You to learn about the privacy practices of those third parties.

XII. Your Rights Under the GDPR.

If You are a citizen or a resident of a country in the European Union, the GDPR grants You the following rights:

a. Access to Your Personal Data. You have the right to receive a copy of Your personal data that is subject to processing by Whooden. Ordinary requests will be granted without charge to You within one calendar month of when You make the request. In cases of excessive, unreasonable, or repeated requests Whooden may charge You a reasonable fee and may require additional time to grant Your request. Also, Whooden may use reasonable means to confirm Your identity before granting any request for data so as to prevent granting fraudulent requests. b. To have Your Data Corrected. If Your personal data is erroneous or outdated, You have the right to have it corrected. To do so, please contact Whooden via e-mail at info@whoodenstudios.com.

c. To be Forgotten. You have the right to be forgotten by Whooden. You may exercise this right by e-mailing us at info@whoodenstudios.com. We will comply with Your request, at no charge to You, within one calendar month by deleting Your account, along with all of Your personally-identifiable data that is subject to any Whooden processing. Naturally, after we grant Your request, You will not have access to certain Whooden products or services unless and until You open a new Whooden account. Whooden may use reasonable means to confirm Your identity before granting any request for data so as to prevent the granting of fraudulent requests.

d. To Restrict Processing of Your Data. You can request that Your data not be processed via Whooden partners. You can make that request by e-mailing us at info@whoodenstudios.com and, if you wish, you can even specify which third parties to restrict from processing Your data. We will respond to Your request, at no charge to You, within thirty (30) days from when You make Your request. Please be advised that some of our partners are essential to Whooden services, so that if You block processing by them, Whooden’s services may be unavailable to You.

e. Portability. You have the right to receive a copy of Your personal data that is subject to processing by Whooden in a portable format, or to have it transferred directly from Whooden to another party. Ordinary requests will be granted without charge to You within one calendar month of when You make the request. Whooden may use reasonable means to confirm Your identity before granting any request to transfer data to You or another party so as to prevent granting fraudulent requests. XIII. Your Responsibility Under GDPR.

If You are a user of Whooden’s website, a business owner, and using the Whooden’s services to sell goods and services to Your customers, then, with respect to the customer data that You provide to Whooden, Whooden is a data processor and will comply with its obligations under the GDPR; but with respect to Your customers, You are probably a data controller, and if any of Your customers is a citizen or a resident of a country in the European Union, then You must ensure that You comply with Your obligations as a data controller under the GDPR; namely, You must ensure that You afford Your Customers the rights identified in section (a) above. Whooden sells marketing, advertising, and education goods and services; it does not provide legal advice or legal services, nor does it sell a “done-for-you” GDPR compliance package. XIV. California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require a person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals with whom it is being shared, and to comply with this policy. All copyrights, trademarks, patents and other intellectual property rights in and on our website and all content and software located on the site shall remain the sole property of Whooden or its licensors.
